    What it is

A waxy substance secreted by the sebaceous glands of wool-bearing animals, primarily sheep. It is a highly effective emollient and occlusive.

    How it works

Lanolin's composition of lipids is similar to that of human skin, allowing it to act as an excellent emollient that prevents transepidermal water loss (TEWL). It forms a protective barrier on the skin, locking in moisture and helping to repair a compromised barrier.

    Benefits

    • Provides intense moisturization and relieves extreme dryness.
    • Effectively heals chapped lips and cracked skin.
    • Helps to repair and protect the skin's barrier.
